Why do some people insist on eliminating the $5.5BILLION Hispanic advertising industry in the USA?
Some people keep pushing to eliminate Hispanic advertising, saying that we should be “English Only”. This adverting makes BILLIONS, and helps the companies they cater to make their BILLIONS……a huge positive to the USA. So why do people want to eliminate this $5.5BILLION industry? How do they plan to make up for those BILLIONS lost? How many American jobs would be lost if they were successful in eliminating this industry? http://www.bizreport.com/2007/02/hispanic_advertising_to_outpace_general_advertising.html Hispanic advertising to outpace general advertising “Advertising growth targeting Latinos is expected to outpace the general market over the next several years. Both the television and radio sectors should benefit from increased interest in targeting the demo,” said Deana Myers, Kagan media analyst. According to Kagan Research, Hispanic advertising will reach $5.5 billion by 2010, with a growth curve of 32% for Hispanic cable networks. General broadcast networks will show 12% growth during the same period. With the incredible growth of the Hispanic market and its buying power there is also a great opportunity for growth among advertisers. Hispanic buying power is expected to exceed $900 billion by 2010. Properly targeting the demographic, however, will determine how well advertisers do, and so far very few advertisers are seeing the difference between the Hispanic market and the general public.

Notice how these illiterates think you are talking about illegals just because you said “Hispanic”. Those are the same people setting us back, and not helping us move forward.

Why do some people think it’s so wrong to advertise to Hispanics….?
when the Hispanic Purchasing Power in America is expected to reach $1TRILLION by 2011? Are these people the same people that ingore the fact that many Hispanic Illegals contribute to this Purchasing Power? http://www.bizreport.com/2007/02/hispanic_advertising_to_outpace_general_advertising.html Hispanic advertising to outpace general advertising “Advertising growth targeting Latinos is expected to outpace the general market over the next several years. GTony, “Sabado Gigante”. Watch that program, it says it all that you ask. These monolinguist neanderthals will never understand. Here is another clue to them, Spanish was spoken 100 years before the first settlement in Jamestown in what is now presently the United States. It predates the english language by a century.

US Air force – Options for a College Grad with B.S. Degree In Computer Security?
I would like to acquire some information on my situation. I graduated (w/ honors) recently with a B.S. in Computer Security. The Air Force allows graduates to enter as Officers. What career(s) do the Air Force offer that relate to Computer networking, security, etc. Any links would be greatly appreciated. The way the job market is right now, it’s almost impossible to find an entry level (less than one year of experience) for this computer field. I figure the Air Force would be a great opportunity. I have checked the Air Force’s website and it seems to be very broad in their careers description.

Http://www.airforceots.com/portal/index.php Go there. It is a website all about Air Force Officer Training School. There are forums setup there with people who are currently going through it and people who have already and done it and serve as Officers in the Air Force. Info you are looking for is there and they can help answer more detailed questions you might have. It was a great help to me when I was looking at pilot training.

Should I quit my new job?
After much deliberation I accepted a job offer with Company A. I have only been with Company A for 2 weeks…the people I work with are nice, and young, single, professionals like myself. However, there is NO work/life balance. I work AT LEAST 11 hours a day and 2-3 days a week have some sort of networking event to attend after work hours. I declined an offer from Company B to work for Company A. Company B offered me $7K more in my base salary plus a very flexible schedule where I could work from home 4 days if I chose or else come in at 9 am, leave at 3:30 pm, that sort of thing. Whereas Company A is very rigid. I am to be at the office at 7:30 a.m. and lucky if I leave at 6 p.m. I chose Company A initially because the commission for my first year was forecasted to be double that of Company B. I have learned from colleagues however, that really my first year will be the same as what Company B (perhaps more honestly) predicted. I also felt that the “rigid” schedule would be good for me. Also, I am a bit confused as to what to do because Company A was referred to me by my previous boss. He is close friends of Company A and highly recommended me. I do not want him to look bad for me leaving so soon. I talked to the other newest employee of Company A to get her take. She admitted to me tonight, that she thinks it is crazy that I did not take the OTHER position with Company B and that there is absolutely no work/life balance with our company. She also stated that if Company B’s opportunity is available she would take it in a heartbeat! She said I am in the “honeymoon” stage and soon will see that the company (A) is internally competitive and that everyone is exhausted with the work demand. Company A is in the IT market, which I think and have heard is a “hot” market, but highly competitive. Company B is in the environmental market, not as “hot” but I have some experience in the industry already. Should I quit my new job?? Am I just no used to the transition of a new position? What would you do?? Thank you in advance.

admin answers:
If I already turned down Company B then I would continue being in Company A for a while until I found another job opportunity. If Company A does not make you happy then you should look for other job opportunities.
